One of the most common questions I hear before a session is what to wear for family photos in Santa Clarita, CA. You want everyone to look coordinated, feel comfortable, and still look like yourselves.
The good news is that styling your family does not have to be complicated. A few simple choices with color, texture, and fit can make everything come together beautifully.

One statement pattern is usually plenty.

Your session location can help guide your wardrobe.
For outdoor sessions in Santa Clarita, earthy neutrals and softer colors blend beautifully with golden grasses, greenery, and natural surroundings.
For studio sessions, creams, whites, beige, soft blue, and light pastels create a clean and polished look.

Patterns can absolutely work, especially a beautiful floral dress or subtle print.
Just avoid having several bold patterns competing with each other.

Your outfits should complement your photos, not become the first thing you notice.
Make Comfort a Priority
Especially for kids.
If something is itchy, tight, or uncomfortable, it will show. Kids should be able to move, cuddle, play, and explore during your session.
Have everyone try on their full outfit before session day and make sure shoes are comfortable too.
